Ella’s inspirational journey of resilience

Our amazing client, Ella

At Blue Skies Case Management & Care, we are constantly inspired by our amazing clients.

I first met Ella when she was 11 years old, she had cerebral palsy following a brain injury that she acquired whilst in utero. Ella suffered a left sided weakness, dysregulation and processing difficulties. This has meant that throughout her life everything that she does requires more energy, determination and resilience.

After meeting with Ella, we determined exactly what she needed to live the best life possible. This involved organising a rehabilitation team consisting of:

  • Physiotherapist

  • Pilates Instructor

  • Personal Trainer

  • Orthotist

  • Occupational Therapist

  • Psychologist

  • Music Therapist

  • Support Workers

A strong determined personality and the ability to give 100% to any task, enabled her to maximise the support she was given.

Ella attended mainstream schools, where we worked closely to provide an EHCP plan that reflected her needs. Teamed up with her inspirational work ethic and determination led her to successfully complete her GCSEs.

Ella coaching a HIIT Class

Inspired by her own rehabilitation programme she qualified as a personal trainer to help others on their personal fitness journey. Ella now works at the local leisure centre working in the gym and coaching people in high-intensity interval training (HIIT) classes.

Ella litter picking in the local community

Ella’s commitment to helping people on their fitness journey is an inspiration, but her impact extends beyond the gym walls. Once a week, Ella and her support worker go litter-picking in the local area. Despite doing this voluntarily, Ella has litter-picked every week for over 2 years. It’s no surprise, that she’s widely recognised in the community and gets waves and cheers of support from passing cars.

Ella’s journey highlights her own resilience and determination, as well as the impact of her amazing therapists, support workers and case management services who have helped empower Ella to achieve her goals.  This wouldn’t have been possible without her truly exceptional and supportive family.

Congratulations on your achievements, Ella. We are so proud to support you as you overcome life’s challenges and remain committed to your growth and resilience.
